There’s a new kid on the block for family brunches and it’s definitely one worth trying. More so, with an amazing deal that’s on offer… Read on!

Lapita Hotel opened in October 2016, nestled in the heart of Dubai Parks & Resorts, that’s the home of Motiongate and Legoland. Although it’s not on the usual list of family brunches we know about, it’s definitely a hidden gem as it’s a Polynesian themed hotel that offers 2 pools, a lazy river and direct access to Riverland, the new Outlet Village and of course the nearby theme parks.

In February this year, Lapita Hotel launched their brand new Daycation Brunch and we have to say we were impressed. As you may expect for a family resort, they’re very family friendly; the staff are genuinely jolly, there’s a great Children’s area and the food is really good, no matter what age you are.

Seating can be either indoor or outdoor – although indoors is a little bit dark, it does have has a good stage area that’s going to be great for days of indoor entertainment. Outdoors has a terrace overlooking a large green area that houses live-cooking stations that span Polynesian dishes, homemade noodles and dumplings, a host of Thai and Indian curries, barbecue lobster and a Roast Beef, Yorkshire Pudding and Gravy station (which, no word of a lie were totally amazing).

Indoors there’s the usual brunch offerings of sushi, ceviche, crab claws, oysters, prawns and other seafood as well as a dessert area that includes chocolate fountains, mini pots of everything from chocolate mousse to banana and toffee panna cotta and our favourite being a Candycool popcorn cart. This was really a talking point for guests as they’ve got a range of flavours of frozen popcorn, that combined with liquid nitrogen creates amazing effects as it reaches your hand!

The children’s area is great. Not only can you see exactly what they’re up to from a table on the outdoor terrace, but they’ve got a range of ages covered. For example, along with the usual suspects of face painting, there’s also an outdoor football table, air hockey table and a full team of entertainers that will do kids dance fit, henna tattooing, mini Olympics with your children and there’s movie time from 5-7pm.

The children’s food section has mini plates of hummus, heart shaped jam sandwiches, hot dogs and mini burgers that are animal faces, spaghetti Bolognese and breaded chicken and smiley faces. There’s a help yourself fruit station, popcorn cart and sweetie station that’s full to the brim of M&M’s & Haribo. What’s nice is that they have mini cutlery for little ones, plastic plates and cups so the tiny tots could really feel they’re quite independent!

The wine offerings were Cabernet Sauvignon or Chardonnay, which was crisp and fresh. They’ve got three Polynesian style bars that serve mocktail’s and cocktails in real coconut’s (think Trader Vic’s for families) so adults can enjoy the range of offerings too.

There’s a great deal that’s just for Friday 3rd March, but you’ll have to be quick to grab one of the 400 spaces they have for this special Daycation brunch. You can pay just 95 AED per child up to 12 years and adults go FREE – yes, you read that right (although you do have to pay 150 AED if you’d like to have the house beverage package add-on).

So for a family of 4 it’s just 190AED if you don’t take the alcohol package or 490AED if you do. What’s more, you can take your swim things and try out their pools with giant inflatable swans and lazy river for the rest of the day.

To make a booking, call 048109999 or email (You’ll find it just off the Sheikh Zayed Road past Jebel Ali at the Dubai Parks & Resorts exit).
