Dubai Performing Arts Winter Workshop Camps

Dubai Performing Arts have extended their camp offerings this winter to both Dubai British School – Jumeirah Park and Jebel Ali School. DPA camps are an opportunity to give children a go at Performing Arts, building confidence, improving communication skills and encouraging teamwork. Encompassing all aspects of musical theatre; singing, dance and acting – the themes this December include Frozen, Elf, Holly Jolly Jamboree and No Business Like Snow-Business.

Dates: Week 1: Monday 11th – Friday 15th December / Week 2:  Monday 18th – Friday 22nd December.

Timings: Mini Camp: 9am–12.30pm or there is an option to extend the day with arts and crafts and games until the later pickup time of 2:15pm. Junior / Inter Camp: 9am–2.30pm.

Age: Mini’s is for 3-5 years, Juniors / Inter Camp for 6-13 years.

Shine like a Christmas Star on Stage at The Courtyard Playhouse

Got a little star in the making? Then the awesome theatre winter camps at The Courtyard Playhouse have something for every age: a Mini Storytelling Camp for 4-7 years, a Junior Actor’s Camp for 8-11 years, and the Young Performers Camp for 12-14 years. It’s all about drama, improv games, mime, role-play, and even some arts and crafts fun.

The Mini Storytellers will take your child on a festive journey where they creatively explore the imaginative world of picture books like How To Catch Santa and Be Brave Little Penguin. 

The Junior Actor’s camp is filled with fun, self-expression and spontaneity helping to build confidence and overcome anxieties while they explore characters and themes from Harry Potter, How to train your dragon and How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

Finally, the Young Performers will be using theatre to explore the exciting theme of Mythology! Onstage, they will discover the thrill of performing. It goes beyond pretending; it’s about embracing and becoming comfortable with your true self.
