Now we’ve got our lazy Sundays as the last day of the weekend, it’s almost a shame not to tap into our British roots and gather with friends and family around a big roast dinner. But as expats, we’ve also embraced the Dubai ‘brunch’, so we’re delighted that the Ritz-Carlton, Dubai International Financial Centre has fused the two to offer the perfect finale to any weekend with The Sunday Roast Brunch!

In the heart of DIFC, a visit to the Ritz-Carlton eludes all the glitz and glamour associated with the brand yet this brunch brings a family-friendly feel and takes place across the courtyard (which is perfectly shaded) of the famed Café Belge and Sunken Garden.

For us adults think delicious food with a proper taste of home, wonderful service and live acoustic entertainment with a play list that is reminiscent of our high school years. We adore the fab seafood and salad buffet, a tempura station (yes please!) and of course all you’d expect from your Sunday Roast dinner. There’s aLondon theme that ran throughout with subway stops, skyline back drops, a red phone booth and Union Jack bunting.

Now it’s not like Dubai to forget about the kids, and this brunch is certainly no exception. If you’re fans of Family Fest, Into the Jungle and Seaside Brunch, then you’ll be pleased to hear that the fab team behind these amazing child-friendly brunches also has a hand in looking after the kiddies at the Ritz-Carlton Sunday Roast. From slime making and arts and crafts, to princess visitsMagic Phil, and even an appearance by the Queen’s Beefeatersthe children will be in their element.

There’s also a super ‘sweet shop’ set up that is like a visit to a real-life Willy Wonka factory – if you lose the kids for a second, guaranteed this is where you’ll find them! You’ll also find a dedicated kids buffet with plenty of tasty kid-friendly food including penne pasta, chicken tenders and mini cheese sliders. This brilliant family- friendly Sunday afternoon keeps the young members of your tribe as happy as you are.

When it comes to brunchin’ chic, the Ritz-Carlton, DIFC has it nailed, and the Sunday Roast runs from 12pm to 4pm. There’s a non-alcoholic package at AED 299 whilst the house beverage package at AED 399 includes wine and beer and the prosecco package at AED 499 includes bubbles, spirits and cocktails.Children aged 4 – 11 years are AED 150 and our little ones, aged three and under eat absolutely free.
