If you’re looking for the next place to have some quality time, food and drink with your other half or besties, Rhodes W1 at Grosvenor House, the heartbeat of Dubai Marina, has been given a refresh and is serving some of the beloved late British chef’s recipes, in a more relaxed atmosphere.

Carrying the mantle of Gary Rhodes, his son Sam Rhodes has come on board as General Manager at the restaurant to continue the next generation of Rhodes W1 and his father’s legacy, that has been established in both the UK and here in Dubai over the past few decades.

Tuck into European and British cuisine that the chef was renowned for while sipping quirky cocktails at this beautiful waterside setting. The menu is mouth-watering; white tomato soup served with cherry tomato butter toast and smoked haddock with welsh rarebit, tomato and chive dressing to start, as well as wholesome British staples for main dishes including Pie and Mash, Shepherd’s Pie and Cod, Chips and Mushy Peas.

The menu also brings flavourful European dishes to the table, such as veal escalope Holstein accompanied with fried hen’s egg, anchovies, capers and nut-brown butter and burrata truffle served with radicchio marmalade (one of our favs!). The RW1 Burger is introduced in its rightful place on the menu as a signature, served with baby gem lettuce, dill pickle, and gouda cheese and a special homemade sauce. Yum!

Whilst this restaurant happily welcomes children, we think this is one to leave the kids at home and enjoy some adult company at the blissful Marina setting.
