It may feel like the kids have only been back at school a few weeks but the February break is only a few days away, which means most children are off school for a whole seven days! Keeping them busy is no mean feat, but never fear, luckily there are plenty of Privilee destinations to keep you and the kids entertained this half term. From awesome kids’ clubs to handy food and drink discounts, give these spots a try:

Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah

This hotel is well geared up for families, and your children are in for a real treat with a kids’ pool, play park and the Pirates Kids Club featuring none other than slides and tunnels! The kids’ club is next to the main adults’ pool, which means you can set up camp with your brood and while away the day in one spot! Next to the main pool is a shaded, shallow kids pool which is super convenient if you’re with little ones that want to dip in and out. 

If you’re more of a beach bunny family, the huge stretch of sand at Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah is impressive to say the least, and offers plenty of sunbeds that overlook the incredible views of Dubai Marina.

JA Beach Resort 

This is one of Dubai’s largest experience resorts. From horse-riding to golf, water sports and a thrilling splash park, there is something for everyone at this scenic spot. 

Just 20-minutes from Dubai Marina, coming here feels like you have escaped the city. One of the highlights with kids is the Splash Pad, spread across 550 sqm, it has exhilarating water slides, aqua tubes, a large soaker bucket, racer slides, and much more. 

Peckish? There is a chic beach bar which Members save 20% on drinks and dining. For beach lovers this resort has 800 metres of golden sand, for sandcastle building, sunny strolls or simply top up your tan.

Privilee members can take kids to the Pirates & Mermaids Kids Club and ChillZone Teens Club for free, so there are plenty of options to keep them entertained for hours! Bring your binoculars as you’ll often find animals and wildlife wandering the grounds, which the little ones will absolutely love.

Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club

There are so many things about Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club – that’s located just across from Arabian Ranches – that makes it perfect for family days out. Firstly, the large shaded and shallow kids’ pool will make your life easy. If you have older kids, the main pool is shallow close to the steps as you enter the pool, so it’s a great area to set up for the day. 

There are two outdoor play areas, one of which is right next to the kids’ pool, the other is by the outdoor terrace at Sella (one of the restaurants at the club). This means the kids have somewhere to play whether you’re sunbathing or eating – win win.

If you get hungry the kids menu caters for even the fussiest of eaters and if you’ve got young ones, they could share one meal between two. Members also get 20% off F&B.

The Els Country Club, Sports City

The place is a firm family favourite. It has one pool is shaded for children, with a playground and cute little splash pad area! The second pool has its very own pool bar, of which members get a 15% discount, and built-in jacuzzi pads. Perfect if you want to relax and stay cool while taking in some rays. There’s also a lovely shaded play area right next to the loungers so you can sit and chill on a bean bag / sunbed and watch the little ones while away an afternoon playing. 

Waldorf Astoria, Palm Jumeirah

This Privilee pick is renowned for being a beautiful and relaxing day-cay. There is a huge family-friendly pool overlooking the beach, conveniently located next to its al fresco restaurant, Palm Avenue – so you can tuck into tasty snacks and refreshing drinks all day (with 20% off for Privilee Members!). You can make the most of its state-of-the-art gym – which is usually very quiet – while the kids take some time out of the sun in the Coco Kids Club. Members also get two hours complimentary access to the tennis courts.

The Palace, Downtown

This hotel is a hidden gem in the middle of Downtown’s metropolis. Here you can enjoy a simple day-cay around its large pool with a kid’s section which in partly shaded by the palm trees.

Take in the exceptional views of the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa while making the most of the hotel’s five-star service. (Members get 20% off food and drinks).

It’s in a great location right next to Dubai Mall so why not pop in for a bit of shopping afterwards.

British Mums tip: stay long enough to watch the famous fountains from The Palace’s garden and avoid the crowds, they also give out free ice lollies and cooled towels. Bliss!
