The Jumeirah Creekside Hotel is one of those hidden gem’s in Dubai that if you haven’t already been, you most DEFINITELY should as their award-winning restaurant, Nomad, even has its own “backyard” that attracts many of Dubai’s families for good reason. Playing host to a number of family-focussed events each week, their Thursday evening BBQ, family Friday brunch as well as their Saturday Crackle and Hop’s are well worth a visit – and here’s why!

The ultimate Thursday BBQ

Let’s start with Thursday’s – There’s nothing better than when school’s out, ending the week on the right note, is there? With a really chilled out vibe and low-key live music, their no-frills barbecue meat feast takes place every single Thursday on Nomad’s picturesque terrace. It offers a wide selection of grilled meats, fish and vegetarian dishes on the BBQ and when you couple this with the fact that it costs AED 195 with soft drinks or AED 250 with house beverages, it’s great value feasting ‘til your heart’s content from 7pm right through until 11pm.

The ultimate family Brunch

In Dubai Friday’s are for most definitely for Brunching, and Nomad’s Family Brunch does NOT disappoint! Open from 1pm until 4pm, we think it’s one of the best family-friendly Brunches in town and so it’s ok to break the rules and eat ice cream first!

You can tuck into their signature Brunch favourites from the live-cooking stations like dim-sum, sushi and of course, British favourites, and their selection of food is so HUGE it means you can’t possibly eat it all!
We LOVE their picnic basket spreads, blankets and bean bags set-up meaning that families can make the best of the great outdoors and have some really good fun mingling whilst being able to watch over the children from afar.

Aside from the views of Dubai’s skyline and an expansive grass area for the kids to run and roam about on, there’s also the ducks at the pond that make’s for one of it’s highlights! There’s a play area that’s been really well thought out for little ones as well as a separate kids buffet, bouncy castle, face painting and plenty of ways to keep the children well-occupied and a must do is trip to the popcorn and sweets station and try your hand at cookie decorating too.

This is a spot for gathering friends and at AED 265 with soft drinks or AED 365 with house drinks and just AED 95 for children 4-11 years with Toddlers going free, we think it offers excellent value where you’ll get ALOT of value for money!

The ultimate Saturday Crackle

If you’ve tried out Thursdays and Friday’s and are still longing for more, then you shouldn’t miss their Saturday Crackle & Hops either! This makes a perfect end to the weekend with sun, family fun, and another delicious BBQ serving favourites that are crackled to perfection!

Saturday afternoons with the family at Nomad’s Crackle & Hops, means you can take in the fresh air we have now, relax and lay back with the live entertainment and unwind with the soothing crackle of the BBQ grilling family favourites, – but with a twist! This is their newly launched laze for Saturday afternoons, and it has a great selection of meat (that’s the Crackle in case you didn’t guess!) The price includes a drinks package for AED 220 per adult and also has the same kid’s offerings area out on the terrace by the duck pond, but this has been especially created for those looking for a taste of back home! Saturday Crackle and Hop’s takes place from 1pm – 4pm and costs AED 175.
