Us mums will often joke about pelvic floor issues, especially those resulting from having children, the fear of the trampoline, long car journeys or simply sneezing, however it really doesn’t have to be something we resign ourselves to living with. There is some stigma attached to these issues but Ms Marina Vecino is here to help, as a Specialist Physiotherapist in Urogynaecological Rehabilitation and Obstetrics with over seven years’ experience specialising in prenatal and postnatal physiotherapy and pelvic floor disfunction in men, women and children, you’ll be in good hands.
Combining manual therapy techniques, muscle stimulation and exercise-based rehabilitation, to both treat and prevent symptoms, Ms Vecino is certified in functional echography, dry needling and lymphatic drainage as well as clinical pilates.
Having qualified in Spain and Italy, Ms Vecino completed her Masters in Urogynecology and Obstetric Physiotherapy at the European University of Madrid. She has lived in Dubai since 2019 where she has been teaching physiotherapists here about pelvic floor and lymph drainage techniques through her functional and holistic approach.
Ms Vecino sees patients from all different backgrounds, from professional athletes with pelvic floor problems, prenatal women with pelvic and back pain, postnatal women with rectus diastasis and post operative oncology patients. She specialises in treating conditions such as urinary, urge and fecal incontinence, vaginismus, pudendal neuralgia, as well as providing childbirth preparation, which is often overlooked but so very important.
