ABOUT ME

I’m Louise, I’m 27 (nearly 28) and I’m a stay at home mum of 2 lovely little girls – Amelia, 7, and Sofia, 2.

We moved to Dubai in 2017, I was heavily pregnant and married in a hurry to get here for my husband’s job. He works at DXB Control Tower, after working at Liverpool Airport for almost 10 years. We came with a 5 year plan and now we’re more than halfway, we have no intention of going back anytime soon!

I’m a foodie and I love pyjamas. I have an irrational fear of bananas.

WHERE IS HOME?

Home is Liverpool.

WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU WERE YOUNGER?

I wanted to be famous, of course! (who didn’t, right?). My grandad actually used to call me Baby Spice!

WHAT DO YOU DO?

I stay at home and look after my 3 children (yes, Mark, my husband is my eldest child!)

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE ACTIVITY TO DO WITH YOUR CHILDREN?

We love messy play. We get a huge roll of paper and just throw it across the floor, get the paints out and just squish our hands and feet in and make prints and mess everywhere!

HOW DO YOU SPEND YOUR WEEKENDS?

If Mark isn’t working, we try and do something fun all together. We spend a lot of time at Wild Wadi, at Emirates Park Zoo (patiently waiting to be able to get back into Abu Dhabi!) and of course, brunches.

Otherwise, beach, pool and girly movie nights in with the kids.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE MOVIE?

Bridesmaids.

IF YOU COULD EAT ONE MEAL FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Thick white toast drenched in good butter.

WHO’S YOUR CELEBRITY CRUSH?

Not so much a crush, but I’m definitely in love with Lady Gaga.

WHICH DESTINATION IS ON YOUR BUCKET LIST TO VISIT?

New York, Disney and Anne Frank’s house in Amsterdam.

WHAT’S YOUR GUILTY PLEASURE?

Love Island. Okay, no, I don’t feel guilty for it but we all know it’s so rubbish that it’s good!

IF YOU COULD HAVE A SUPER POWER, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Clicking my fingers and my house is clean.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT LIVING IN DUBAI?

I love the winter, I love the brunches and I love how much my girls love it.
