ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Louise. I recently turned 40 (eek!) and I’m mum to Scarlett (4) and twins, Violet and Thea (2). I’ve lived in Dubai for eight years now and all 3 of my children were born here. Aside from the chaos of juggling a full-time job and three kids under five… I enjoy strength training and playing Padel – although I’m currently recovering from my “mummy makeover” surgery after losing a lot of weight and have been documenting it through my Instagram (@losingthetwintum).

WHERE IS HOME?

I grew up and spent most of my life in Nottingham, England with my five brothers.

WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU WERE YOUNGER?

A lawyer – I was always argumentative!

WHAT DO YOU DO?

I am a Talent Acquisition Manager for a large retail company.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE ACTIVITY TO DO WITH YOUR CHILDREN?

I love taking them to the playground or to Oli Oli.

HOW DO YOU SPEND YOUR WEEKENDS?

My husband lives in KSA most of the year so at weekends it’s usually me and the nanny trying to ferry the kids around to various activities! We have ballet, gymnastics, swimming and soft-play. Occasionally, I get Sunday afternoons for a bit of me-time and I’ll usually spend that at the salon (or the pub!)

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE MOVIE?

I don’t watch movies very often but Hidden Figures is possibly my favourite.

IF YOU COULD EAT ONE MEAL FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Chocolate. Just chocolate.

WHO’S YOUR CELEBRITY CRUSH?

Keanu Reeves is floating my boat at the minute – such a gent!

WHICH DESTINATION IS ON YOUR BUCKET LIST TO VISIT?

Canada – I’d love to visit friends there and soak in the beautiful scenery.

WHAT’S YOUR GUILTY PLEASURE?

Trash TV – Real Housewives, Selling Sunset… I could watch them for hours.

IF YOU COULD HAVE A SUPER POWER, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Pausing time (for everybody but me) – would be great to get five minutes of peace or to catch up on things without any pressure.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT LIVING IN DUBAI?

It is so safe and so convenient. We have everything at our fingertips and life just seems so much easier here. The weather for at least half of the year is just glorious… let’s not talk about summer though!
