ABOUT ME

I was born in Nigeria to a Naval Officer father and the most wonderful mother/business woman. When I was growing up, we would sail with dad and mum to different parts of the world until the age of 6 when we went to boarding school! I moved to England permanently at the age of 20 and then met and married by husband Matthew and between us we share three gorgeous children – Jermaine being the eldest, followed by Chloe and Daniel. I love sport, reading and music and was part of Purley Baptist worship team for many years. I also led a community Choir in Purley (Surrey) for 12 years prior to 2016! I worked for a UK law firm until I resigned in January this year to focus on my Master’s Degree. I am also Level 2 Exercise to Music qualified and taught Zumba at Wave Leisure Centres and Wickwoods Spa & Gym in Sussex, before moving to Dubai early last year.

WHERE IS HOME?

My home is England where my husband was born and bred and where I have lived for approximately 35 years and where all our children still live.

WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU WERE YOUNGER? 

When I was growing up, I wanted to be a runner and a lawyer!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE ACTIVITY TO DO WITH YOUR CHILDREN?

All our children are grown up with the youngest being 24 years old. However, whenever we are together, we either go out for meals or I cook them my special dishes, one of which is Jollof Rice with all sorts of vegetables, fish/meat and my special sauce! Apparently, my cocktail mixes are also legendary!

HOW DO YOU SPEND YOUR WEEKENDS?

My weekend is often spent with my husband relaxing together, driving the golf kart around Jumeirah Golf Estates. We sometimes meet up with friends for a social.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE MOVIE?

Nothing in particular, although I enjoy French and Scandinavian sub-titles.

IF YOU COULD EAT ONE MEAL FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Sushi and all dishes made with rice!

WHO’S YOUR CELEBRITY CRUSH?

Sorry, I’m boring I know, but I genuinely do not have one. Have you seen my husband? 😊

WHICH DESTINATION IS ON YOUR BUCKET LIST TO VISIT?

I would love to visit other parts of Western Europe, India and other parts of the African continents.

WHAT’S YOUR GUILTY PLEASURE?

Location, Location, Grand Design, Build a New House in the Country etc.

IF YOU COULD HAVE A SUPER POWER, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Would genuinely love to make the lives of loved ones and other people I come across, better at the snap of my finger.

 

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT LIVING IN DUBAI?

Still learning but I have amassed some amazing friends and oh, they make you feel so good.
