ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Erin Paturzo, Im British/Australian and married to a Brazilian. I have lived in Dubai for almost 14 years and we have a 4 year old son. I came to Dubai when I was just 22 to join Emirates Airlines. I met my husband on day 1 of our training and we have been together ever since. I experienced 12 very fun years in Emirates travelling the world, however like many others, covid had other things in store for me. So in 2021 I created my own company Little Sol which is a kids sunglasses brand.

WHERE IS HOME?

Dubai is home. I have my sister here and sister in law with her daughter so we have a good base here.

WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU WERE YOUNGER?

I wanted to be an actress but I was extremely shy and would never do anything in public. I would just role play in my bedroom talking to my posters.

WHAT DO YOU DO?

I’m a full time stay at home mum and I have my own kids ecommerce business Little Sol which keeps me busy.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE ACTIVITY TO DO WITH YOUR CHILDREN?

We love to go to the pool or beach together. Anywhere that my son can run and play freely. Dubai has so many activities for kids that there is always something to do.

HOW DO YOU SPEND YOUR WEEKENDS?

We spend most weekends with my sister and my husband’s sister so my son can play with his cousin..

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE MOVIE?

I have many but Titanic and Dirty Dancing are some of my faves.

IF YOU COULD EAT ONE MEAL FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

I’m simple… spaghetti bolognese or lasagna.

WHO’S YOUR CELEBRITY CRUSH?

Growing up I was obsessed with Leo but now I would say James Franco.

WHICH DESTINATION IS ON YOUR BUCKET LIST TO VISIT?

To see the Northern Lights, however I hate the cold 🙂

WHAT’S YOUR GUILTY PLEASURE?

Netflix and chocolate.

IF YOU COULD HAVE A SUPER POWER, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

I would love to be able to teleport and quickly be in any place to not miss out on things, which is something that happens when you live away from your family.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT LIVING IN DUBAI?

I love how safe Dubai feels especially now having a son. I love that no matter what you want you can pretty much get it anytime of the day. I love that my son grows up learning about different cultures and languages. This country has given me so much in terms of a great family life and being able to travel the world.
