My name is Amanda I’m originally from Hampshire. I’m married to Jason and have we two amazing girls, Molly age 22 and Isabella-Lilly age 19, who have both now moved back to the UK for University and work. I’ve lived in Dubai for the last 13 years and so grateful that we’ve been given this opportunity to experience a different life for ourselves and our children.
WHERE IS HOME?
WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU WERE YOUNGER?
WHAT DO YOU DO?
I set up a small business at the beginning of lockdown two years ago as a balloon artist. Hand on heart I can say this is the best thing I’ve ever done. It was very scary in the beginning because I didn’t know how it was going to go, but it went from strength to strength and that’s only because of my husband, girls and friends and most importantly my customers that were there to support me. It’s been tough going at times, with a lot of blood, sweat and tears, bit it’s so soworth it.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE ACTIVITY TO DO WITH YOUR CHILDREN?
We love just spending quality family time together, however this doesn’t happen too much anymore as the girls are both back in the UK.
HOW DO YOU SPEND YOUR WEEKENDS?
Because of the nature of my business, I tend to work weekends, but I enjoy it as I’m doing what I love.
