There aren’t many nurseries in Dubai that can say they’ve stood the test of time, but Kid’s Island Nursery in Jumeirah 3 is one of them. The Nursery is family run and first opened its doors back in 1982, welcoming babies and toddlers from 10 months to 4 years into its warm and vibrant setting.

Kid’s Island has been through several enhancements over the years and features fun-filled activities such as interactive playgrounds, creative studios and an impressive, interactive mud kitchen. They focus on the British curriculum with a proactively eco-friendly, home-grown approach at heart.

The nursery believes that parents should be involved in their child’s educational journey. Teachers work closely with parents to find unique ways to encourage their involvement within the class.  This creates a collaborative environment from which the children can blossom.

One of the core values of the nursery revolves around investing in their parents. Connecting and building strong relationships with parents at the nursery is vital to creating a stable environment for the children. The nursery offers regular informative presentations throughout the year providing tips and guidance about topics such as boundary setting and healthy eating. These sessions empower parents and provide a wonderful opportunity for meeting like-minded individuals.

Another way Kid’s Island likes to engage parents is through their unique, FREE Mum and Baby group. It is an informal gathering which takes place throughout the term, every Monday from 8:30 to 11am. Parents and children are provided with a fantastic opportunity to socialise while being gently introduced to the nursery environment.  Families are encouraged to play with their little ones and it’s clear to see that the nursery’s equipment and facilities have been designed to inspire the imagination of children and create a true urge to experiment.

Kids Island aims to plant seeds of curiosity and awareness from a young age. This nature-rich nursery is a place that inspires creativity using its surroundings as a resource for the classroom, whilst nurturing a genuine love for the environment. Its ethos is refreshing, and one that gains high accolades amongst several reputable schools in Dubai.
