With so many golf courses around Dubai, you’ve probably looked out over one while enjoying a meal and wondered if you could attempt a golf swing and not feel too awkward.

Join us for one of two 30-minute sessions to learn beginners golf at the DP World Tour Championship at Jumeirah Golf Estates! Two teaching professionals from the Tommy Fleetwood Academy will give you an introduction to golf, taking you through all the basics, including how to hold the club, putting and full swing. After mastering your new skills you can celebrate by enjoying a hot drink and light breakfast.

What to wear: Comfortable sports style clothes and trainers. Don’t forget a cap to keep the sun off your face and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. Golf clubs and balls will be provided.

Parking and meeting point: Free public car parking is provided, with shuttle buses running from the car park to the main entrance every 5-10 minutes. Please ensure you arrive at the parking 30 minutes before the lesson to give you enough time. The meeting point is at the Championship Village.

About the DP World Tour Championship: Taking place from 14th – 17th November at Jumeirah Golf Estates, the DP World Tour Championship is the perfect family day out this November! Fans can watch the top 50 golfers in the world compete for the elusive trophy, with something for everyone to enjoy off-course including a dedicated kids zone, family activities and entertainment, food trucks, shaded picnic areas and live music. Tickets are free to attend on Thursday and Friday, and only AED 125 on Saturday and Sunday (kids 17 and under are free, pre-registration is still required).
