Azraq’s mission is to safeguard the biodiversity of delicately balanced oceanic ecosystems for future generations. Their objectives are to achieve cleaner and healthier oceans by increasing the protection of oceanic ecosystems and marine life, as well as by raising awareness of issues impacting the marine environment, and the life within it.

Azraq creates an environment with students, individuals and corporate organisations to CONNECT or RECONNECT with the ocean environment through a range of activities arranged with external partners such as scuba diving, snorkelling, kayaking or paddle boarding, in conjunction with EDUCATION and AWARENESS presentations and/or workshops.

They aim to MOTIVATE and ACTIVATE the community to take different approaches in their every-day lives, positively impacting the ocean and, as a result, their own health, while ensuring our own operations do not create unnecessary waste. Additionally, they utilise a volunteer base to deliver their programs, whether it be education, auditing waste, monitoring trials, collecting and repurposing waste products, hosting informative documentary screenings or other eco-focused events and activities.

Job Description

The Retail Coordinator will report to the Head of Revenue Generation. The role is responsible for assisting in the management of their on-line retail site, management of retail stalls at events as well as at Azraq hosted events for their members. The role is responsible (though not limited to) the below:

● Ensuring retail emails are responded to within 24-48 hours.
● Organising and coordinating stalls & retail related activities.
● Managing reports regarding volunteering hours associated with stalls and events.
● Assisting in packing, sending and posting (via their courier) merchandise from online sales.
● Researching and updating E-shop with new products and lines.
● Maintaining stock levels online and providing a monthly online sales report with analysis tips for Sales and Marketing.
● Updating products inventory sheet after sales.
● Managing retail inventory and stock.
● Uploading account invoices to Bitrix CRM system to ensure timely payment to our suppliers.

● Possess the ability to multitask and prioritise responsibilities
● Strong grasp of English (Arabic a bonus)
● Knowledge and/or previous experience with events, sales, retail, e-commerce, inventory management
● Must be able to work as part of a team and even lead a team if the need arises
● Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, Gmail and Google Drive
● Attention to detail
● Can volunteer minimum 5 hours a week
● Has own visa
