DESCRIPTION:

The allowances and benefits for all the following employment roles are: Visa, tax free monthly salary of AED 12,000, private medical insurance, annual travel allowance, salary paid during winter, spring & summer breaks, 30 days leave allowance and financial contribution towards initial flight (for overseas candidates).

Start date is for the school academic year September 2019.

GUITAR SPECIALIST

Centre for Musical Arts (CMA) is seeking to appoint a well-qualified, flexible and enthusiastic Guitar Specialist to join their team in September 2019.  CMA offers one to one private instrumental lessons at their Centre based in the heart of Dubai and a peripatetic music service to schools. We are seeking candidates with the ability and experience to teach both acoustic and classical guitar in a wide range of styles (classical, rock, pop, jazz, chords). The ability to teach electric and bass guitar will also be highly considered as well as experience in developing youth rock bands and groups.

This will be a full-time permanent contract.  The successful candidate will have a 5-day working week of 35 hours. Centre for Musical Arts fully recognises its responsibilities for child protection, and we ensure we practise safe recruitment in checking the suitability of staff and to work with children.  Employment at CMA is subject to DBS checks.

Requirements

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience teaching within a British School/Music Service
  • Hold a Music Degree in Guitar Performance & Teaching or equivalent
  • Have excellent knowledge of music exams (ABRSM, Trinity, Rockschool) and Music Theory
  • Be very well organised, highly motivated and a team player
  • Be an excellent communicator and have good English speaking and writing skills
  • Have a love for your instrument and be passionate about music

Desirable

  • Holder of a driving licence
  • Being able to teach electric and bass guitar is highly desirable
  • Experience in developing youth rock bands, groups and guitar ensembles is advantageous
  • Knowledge of Musical Teaching Software and be IT literate / knowledge of Google Drive
  • Ability to teach a second instrument will be considered

 

BRASS SPECIALIST (Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba)

BOWED STRINGS SPECIALIST (Violin, Viola, Cello)

Centre for Musical Arts (CMA) is seeking to appoint a well-qualified, flexible and enthusiastic Bowed Strings Specialist to join their team in September 2019.  CMA offers one to one private instrumental lessons at their Centre based in the heart of Dubai and a peripatetic music service to schools. Candidates should have the ability to teach violin, viola and/or cello.

This will be a full-time permanent contract.  The successful candidate will have a 5-day working week of 35 hours. Centre for Musical Arts fully recognises its responsibilities for child protection, and we ensure we practise safe recruitment in checking the suitability of staff and to work with children.  Employment at CMA is subject to DBS checks.

Centre for Musical Arts (CMA) is seeking to appoint a well-qualified, flexible and enthusiastic Voice Specialist to join their team in September 2019.  CMA offers one to one private instrumental lessons at their Centre based in the heart of Dubai and a peripatetic music service to schools. We are seeking candidates with a proven track record in teaching various singing styles from classical to musical theatre, jazz and pop.

This will be a full-time permanent contract.  The successful candidate will have a 5-day working week of 35 hours. Centre for Musical Arts fully recognises its responsibilities for child protection, and we ensure we practise safe recruitment in checking the suitability of staff and to work with children.  Employment at CMA is subject to DBS checks.

Requirements

  • Have excellent knowledge of music exams (ABRSM, Trinity) and Music Theory

Desirable

  • Holder of a driving licence
  • Having an interest in early years music for age 4 – 6 years
  • Ensemble/choir experience
  • Ability to accompany your students on piano will be highly considered as well as the ability to teach any other instruments and theory of music

MULTI - WOODWIND SPECIALIST

Centre for Musical Arts (CMA) is seeking to appoint a well-qualified, flexible and enthusiastic Multi - Woodwind Specialist to join their team in September 2019.  CMA offers one to one private instrumental lessons at their Centre based in the heart of Dubai and a peripatetic music service to schools. We are seeking candidates with a proven track record of teaching all three instruments.

This will be a full-time permanent contract.  The successful candidate will have a 5-day working week of 35 hours.
