Our Dubai adventure began began back in 2014 when I was still very much a full time mother to our young children. My youngest is now nearly 3 years old, and I’m ready to get out there and capture those moments that really should be part of your family history. The day your babies were born, the time they met their siblings, the everyday essence of your lives, you spending time together in your family home. These are memories that I wish I had pictures of myself, to help make the details clearer in my mind. I also wish I had images of the house we first lived in, with the alley down the side and me and my brother on our bikes, and the retro diner seating next to our 70s style kitchen where we HAD to eat our Weetabix every morning. My first bedroom – the only one I shared with my little brother. I have pictures of my birthdays, but I so wish I had pictures of the everyday. The little details, connections and context. In our everyday clothes, doing everyday things that really made us who we were then, I believe this forms so much of the story of who we are now… I shoot a mix of documentary and lifestyle, and we can do as much or as little of each one.
