Find the city gems from local experts
Yearning for a slice of English countryside heaven? We have had Primrose Cottage in Dorset for three years and have completely refurbished it over that time. We used it for holiday lets - it brought in quite a nice little income - and kept it free for us to use (a family of five) when we wanted to go back to the UK.
We are only selling as we have moved back to the UK now permanently and so need to buy something near to my husband's office. Description and link to Rightmove listing below.
Situated in the heart of the beautiful Dorset countryside, Primrose Cottage has been refurbished throughout to a very high standard, whilst retaining many of its original features.
Walk up the little pathway through the pretty garden that lies to the front of the property, and which, with outdoor seating and a gas barbecue, is ideal for al fresco dining or relaxing with a bottle of wine.
Inside, you’ll find a cosy living room with working log burner, dining room, fully-fitted out kitchen (including a pantry), utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, wet room with electric shower, boot room and dining room with seating for up to eight people.
Upstairs you will find a family bathroom and three surprisingly large double bedrooms.
All the plug sockets in the cottage contain USB plugs.
Situated in the award-winning village of Iwerne Minster, this Grade II listed cottage has a whole host of amenities right on the doorstep including a village shop and post office, a friendly pub run by warm and welcoming landlords, a playground set in a safe and secure field and a stunning church.
There is also plenty to do in the area with beaches (including Durdle Door, Lulworth Coast and Studland), fantastic walking, several National Trust properties, outdoor activities and some of the South West’s most historical cities, such as Bath, just a short drive away.
This is the perfect location to explore all that the stunning county of Dorset has to offer and would make the ideal retreat for a romantic weekend away, or family escape to the country.
