As mums, we all know that prioritising our needs can be tough – work, school, the house, the meals and the food shop alone can be tricky to handle, never mind squeezing in a workout. We joined up with the fab team from InnerFight who offer great 8.30am morning classes mid-week, perfect for after the school run and to still leave you plenty of time to get the rest of the errands done before school pick up.

InnerFight, located just off Hessa Street in Studio City, is a superb location for the surrounding communities and also easily accessible from many great schools. We set 6 British Mums the challenge of completing 2 weeks of classes – that’s 3 classes a week, straight after school drop off and in a group setting with the support of other mums. Mainline Class: The class focus will change every day between body weight movements, free weights and barbells with each session finishing with a conditioning piece. The high-performance coaches will guide you through a specific warm up that’s focused around technique and activating the right muscles to go safely through the skill or strength part of that day. You can expect a well-structured full body workout that leaves you on your back breathing heavy by the end of it.

Circuits Class: Perfect for those new to fitness, short on time or just looking for a simple but effective high intensity workout. The 45 min session will vary from day to day as will the movements from body weight to free weights like dumbbells and kettlebells combined with cardio machines that will improve your cardiovascular endurance, balance, strength and power. Burn 400+ calories, boost fat loss and stimulate your muscle growth with these high intensity classes.

Obstacle Course Racing: This class helps improve your obstacle and endurance skills as well as an induction for those who are new to the sport. A typical OCR would mainly consist of running, carrying heavy objects such as sandbags, water jugs and sand filled buckets, climbing over and under walls and swinging like a monkey across monkey bars and various rigs.

Kids, Pre-Teens and Teens Fitness: Make working out a family affair as InnerFight have classes for the kids too!
