It’s no secret that in Dubai we’re spoiled when it comes to brunches, but we tend to visit the same few again and again. So, we were delighted to hear of a stylish new addition to Dubai’s brunch scene which offers unbelievable food and drinks alongside live music by a saxophonist and a DJ – think party brunch with Miami beach vibes.
The stylish Envy at Th8 The Palm has opened with a range of menus to suit every palate, from locally inspired dishes infused with heady Middle Eastern flavours, to more international meals, cooked to mouth-watering perfection. Then there’s the location, which quite frankly is awesome. Sea views and yachts in one direction and Dubai’s famous landmarks to the other, it’s a sight we’ll never tire of.
Saturdays at Envy sees the crowd flock in to enjoy the Jealous Brunch, taking place from 1pm – 5pm. The soft drinks package is AED 250 whilst house bevvies are AED 399. Children 6-12 years join for AED 100 each, whilst 3-5 year olds are AED 50 and under 3s are free.
We asked the British mums’ community if one mum and her friends would be willing to head down to try this out, and unsurprisingly, we were flooded with offers. Nicole headed over to check it out and here’s what she had to say:
“I couldn’t believe that I was picked to review this, I never win anything and also haven’t taken the time to go brunching with girlfriends in years, so now was the perfect excuse to go out!
On arrival at Th8 The Palm, the reception area was really busy which gave us the impression that it was going to be a party vibe brunch, but on walking into Envy we were the first to arrive… (we later saw the crowd was outside at Fluid Beach club which we could have accessed afterwards). The saxophonist was extremely talented and created a lovely atmosphere where we were able to hear one another and have a great catch up and giggle.
We ordered our drinks and they arrived promptly. The starters and desserts were served buffet style and I was first drawn to the seafood selection as there was a variety of crab, octopus, oysters and sushi. The mains were ordered from a set menu, but you could order multiple times if you wished. The tenderloin steak was insanely good and I wish I hadn’t filledup before ordering the mains! There was a delicious joint of lamb laid out on the buffet and a lovely selection of salads. The desserts were delicious too!
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our ladies day out. I would opt to leave the kids at home for this one as its perfect for more of a sophisticated palette as an elegant catch up with girlfriends or a special date day!”
